Tools & Utensils offers a resource of insights, strategies, and actions for educational and cultural institutions looking to productively engage with food – sustainability, resilience, equity, physical and mental health (the list goes on!), through the construction of food-oriented spaces on their campuses. Tools & Utensils builds on our diverse history of food-oriented work, through which we have discovered the many complexities involved in the design, financing, operation and outcome of projects at the nexus of so many players and parts.



Because everyone eats, we believe food sets the table for sociocultural transformation in response to the greatest challenges of our time. Tools & Utensils will serve as an active resource to help institutions dream up the future of food on their campuses and take the next steps to build these visions into reality.
